Updates: RoR Project Night, TTW +more

happy halloween!

Happy Halloween, mind your flaming belches tonight.

So to anyone and everyone checking in on this blog from time to time, a small Halloween update on what’s  going on with me, Ruby on Rails Project Night, and a few other interesting projects…

- Ruby on Rails Project Night is always popular in terms of attendees, but I am running short on willing presenters. I appreciate, completely, that people are a) nervous and b) hesitant about showing off their stuff, but trust me – the crowd is very positive and pleasant and YOU want this presentation experience/feedback! Anyone interested in getting involved, please email me or contact me as soon as possible.

- Venue hunting is something I’ve become quite good at, however if anyone has suggestions for future RoR project night or Toronto Dev lunch locations, please forward your ideas along.

- Toronto Tech Week founder Dave Forde and I have been taking steps towards a Consumer-geared gadget show for Toronto. If you, your company, or someone you know would benefit from the exposure/publicity, please let me know.

- As some of you may already know, I’ve become quite involved with blogTO and now, DearToronto – two hyper local news/media sites. Feel free to check them out and share feedback from time to time, as this sort of web-publishing has become one of my new favourite pastimes :)

I’ll be sure to post an update on the (presumed) November RoR Project Night, soon as I have the presenters lined up. Remember, without presenters I really can’t do such a great job hosting ;) …well I could, but I think you’d all tire of me rather quickly :)

In the meantime, Happy Halloween!
